mouse model in OpenSim

Post by Ali Forouzanfar » Thu Dec 26, 2024 7:44 am

Hello everyone,

I m working with a mouse model in OpenSim. model is very small, so I decided to make the model larger, so I changed the scale factor in osim file to 1. However, I ran into these issues:

Geometry becomes distorted after changing the scale factor from 0.1 to 1.

Muscles and virtual points remain in the same (original) locations, not matching the newly scaled body segments.

Segments appear to move separately from each other (almost like they re no longer connected properly).

Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Perhaps try using the Scale Tool (https://opensimconfluence.atlassian.net ... Scale+Tool) with "manual scales" of 10. The Scale Tool will take care of scaling joint locations, muscle paths, etc.
