Prescribing a motion from sensor data

Post by Paulo Melo » Fri Jun 17, 2011 4:32 pm

Hi!

I have acquired kinematic data from inertial sensing, in this case ankle angle and I would like to know if OpenSim allows me to prescribe these angles (instead of generalized coordinates) to a model and do the inverse dynamics to get internal forces and muscle activations. There were no ground reaction forces applied since all the motions were acquired with the subject's leg hanging above the ground.

Thanks,
Paulo

I was looking at the *.mot files and found that you can prescribe joint angle and do the inverse dynamics afterwards.
