IK and grf

Hi,

has the ability to visualize the grf with the IK been disabled? i.e using a coordinate data file containing the grf's. Had no problem with 2.2.0, I'm aware that you can sync the motions but this was a useful tool.

Hi Sam,

This has effectively been disabled in 2.3.2 due to the new way in which forces are handled using the external forces XML file which allows many more forces to be defined in many different ways, all of which could be visualised in a different way (at least this is my understanding). You can still visualise the GRF however this is not done automatically. You can use the 'Preview motion data' option in the file menu and select the MOT file containing the GRF data. To synchronise with the model kinematics, hold the CTRL key down and select both the motion file assigned to the model and newly created preview motion and then right click and select the synchronise option. This will sync the GRF to the motion.

I hope this helps.

Glen
