Question regarding to RRA in v2.4

Post by Ruoli Wang » Sat Oct 01, 2011 7:52 am

Hi all,

Sorry for the replicated post, I got problems in submitting.

I am confused about the RRA results. As I understood, I can repeat RRA procedure couples of times to reduce dmass, residual force and moment. I have tested with example gait2354, after the first RRA, I changed segments' mass as recommended in the adjusted.osim, and repeated the RRA, but got increased dmass and residual forces/moment etc.

Another question is about the sign of the dmass. For instance in the first RRA, I have negative residual FY, which seems to me that segment mass should decrease to make F=ma, but the dmass = F/g which is positive. Did I misunderstand something here?

Thank you in advance,

Ruoli
