"Lower Extremity Model" VS "Torso + Lower Extremity Model"

Post by Davide Monari » Fri Jul 13, 2012 12:14 am

Hi,

I noticed that, inside the .osim file, there are some differences in these two models (as far as the lower leg is concerned), both available on the website:

As far as I got from the description in the webpage, the second one consists of the first one plus the torso, nothing else. But then I calculated the muscle-tendon length in both unscaled models (with 0 angles imposed in the lower leg) for the muscles we are interested in, and the values are different, e.g bicep femoris long head, bicep femoris sohrt head and gracilis.

Is the second one somehow an improvement of the first one?

Thank you very much in advance,
Davide
