Event creation

Post by Filipa Joao » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:07 am

Hello,

is it possible to create events (such as toe off or heel contact) in the OpenSim environment? After running RRA and CMC, the GRF vector disappears from the screen. Is there an easy way to detect the events previously mentioned? Thanks for the support. Filipa

Hi Filipa,

We do not modify anything about the GRF's. So the information you need is already in your input files (.mot) and you can use any other package (e.g. Matlab, Excel, ..) to check when it changes from 0. to non-zero or vice versa. You can also do it programmatically in an OpenSim plugin though it would be an overkill if that's all what you wanted.

It all depends on how do you want to use this information.

Hope this helps,
