Falling simulation
Hello, I would like to simulate a human fall given a certain force (or is it excitation?) which is, in high-level terms, a push to the back for example. Is this possible with the current full body model, and how would I go about setting this up?

Re: Falling simulation
Hi Vanush,
Indeed we have examples of skeletons drop landing, please consult the documentation page below for an example model to start from and let us know if you need further help.

That website is inaccessible - asks for a username & password.

Re: Falling simulation
Thanks James, but this is a model of a person landing on one foot, there is already some vertical velocity due to gravity. Nevertheless, I managed to perform the necessary changes to achieve something so far. The issue is that I cannot edit the contact geometry and add more points via OpenSim. Is this possible, or should I edit and add more contact geometry points using manual editing i.e. edit .osim in notepad++ ?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Falling simulation
?? All you asked for was the updated URL for the example. You did not ask any modeling questions.
You will have to edit the xml directly if you want to add contact geometry

Re: Falling simulation
Thanks
In \ToyDropLanding folder there are 2 .xml files, but there isn't any existing reference re contact geometry.
I can see contact geometry reference in .osim files. Is this the right place to edit?

Re: Falling simulation
Thanks, I have a last question: how can I expand platform size? It seems that <scale_factors> have no effect.
