preview trc motion data: Unexpected Exception

Post by John Rogers » Mon Mar 11, 2013 9:19 am

Hi Ayman and all,

I am having trouble with scaling and previewing data.
When I try File > Preview Motion Data...
an Unexpected Exception occurs in OpenSim (red circle in lower right of GUI window)
OpenSim version is 3.0

I have "3D Gait Model with Simple Arms" open first.

Attached is the static pose data before I transformed it. I had to remove the .trc extension, so rename it. The same problem occurs if I try the transformed version. I also tried reducing the number of lines in the .trc file.

Please let me know if you see something I'm doing wrong.

Thanks,
John

To bring this issue to conclusion, it turned out that the header of the trc file was inconsistent with the data underneath it (had 50 labels while there was data for only 49 markers). By fixing the header to be consistent with the data, the problem was resolved.
