How to control joint self-locking

Post by cui jiashuo » Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:41 pm

Hello everyone, I designed a knee ratchet self-locking mechanism as shown. I want the knee joint to lock itself and bear the weight of the human torso when the human body squats to a certain angle. my question is:
1. Can a rigid body in opensim pass through another rigid body? Can my self-locking mechanism be realized? How to achieve it?
2. How do I control the knee joint self-locking when the human body reaches a certain angle? Please give me some ideas, thank you very much.
