Hello everyone,

I want to know the detailed calculation process of Metabolic Cost. I do not know how to determine the maximum shortening velocity of the muscle? Whether it is a constant value or a change value for different muscles. How should I determine it?

The maximum contraction velocity is a parameter that is determined experimentally for each muscle and is being held constant for the whole duration of the simulation. By look at the gait model provided by OpenSim its value is 10 for all muscles.
