Static Optimization Constraint Fail

Post by Clarissa LeVasseur » Wed May 08, 2019 7:25 pm

Hello! I am trying to run the static optimization tool using OpenSim 4.0. I am also using an extra file to append actuators to the model but am still getting this error below:

SimTK Exception thrown at interiorpointoptimizer.cpp:264:
Optimizer failed: Ipopt: Infeasible problem detected (status 2)
OPTIMIZATION FAILED...

StaticOptimization.record: WARN- The optimizer could not find a solution at time = 0.073

The model appears unsuitable for static optimization.
Try appending the model with additional force(s) or locking joint(s) to reduce the following acceleration constraint violation(s):
sternoclavicular_r2: constraint violation = -6.54227
sternoclavicular_r2: constraint violation = 99.283
sternoclavicular_r2: constraint violation = -1.30999
sternoclavicular_r2: constraint violation = 16.2178
sternoclavicular_r2: constraint violation = 0.689538
sternoclavicular_r2: constraint violation = -225.962

time = 0.073 Performance = 5.93744 Constraint violation = 247.435

Are there other solutions I can try?

Hi, I am getting the same error for one of my models when I run the Static Optimization Tool. Did you ever solve the issue? If so, how did you solve it? Thanks!
