New to opensim but eager to learn

Post by Sheeba Davis » Sun Jun 30, 2019 9:31 pm

I have just practiced the three tutorials provided in the documentation. Now I am confused on what to do next. My work is to calculate forces both internal and external generated during running. What I understand is that I need to start with scaling using data from c3d files obtained through motion capture system. Do I need to learn coding or can I use opensim without doing the coding? please guide me on this.

You can use OpenSim GUI, without using the API. The API would be useful to automate the process in case that you have many subjects. Also, you have to figure out which set of tools you need to use for your problem. The user guide contains a lot of details on the various tools, so you should read not only the tutorials but also the relevant sections.
