How to define orthosis????

Post by Ramin Saki » Mon Oct 21, 2019 1:14 pm

Hello.
I,m Ramin.
I want to check the effect of an orthosis on osteoarthritis patients, but I don't have the conditions to make that orthosis, so I want to check the effect of my orthosis designed with an open wire. I can insert the orthosis into the open source software but I don't know how to define the orthosis effect on the model and the orthosis is created without affecting the model motion. Can anyone tell me how orthosis is defined?

I would suggest thinking of the problem from an idealized perspective rather than a physical device perspective. In OpenSim, you can add different idealized force or actuator types that would model the behavior of a device (in the real world). Have a look at the various types of forces and actuators in the API documentation (expand the inheritance diagram at the top of each page to see the full list).
