Inverse Dynamics Errors?

Does anyone know what to do when you run an inverse dynamics analysis and obtain

-1.#IND0000000000000000 and
-1.#INF0000000000000000
are your results for your joint torques? How can you fix this problem?

Thank you

This most likely means there is an inconsistency in one of your motion files. Look through those and you will probably find a spot where there is data missing for just a frame or two, resulting in errors like #INF or #NaN.

Thank you for your response. I checked it out and that doesn't seem to be the problem. Additionally I am getting those results for the entire motion- Ack :-) Any other ideas what might be going on?

Thanks again!

Lisa,

If you're doing dynamics you better have good mass/inertial properties assigned.

Good luck,
