Defining patella pathway using force/ displacement of tibia and contact geometry

Looking to create a lower limb model that has the patella's movement dependent on contact geometry between it and the femur and the relative motion of the tibia only. Ideally I want the patella to have the least amount of constraints on its' degrees of freedom as possible. The patella is connected to the tibia via 3 ligament bundles and to the femur via 3 muscle bundles with contact geometry defined between the patella and femur and the tibia and femur.
