What are exactly all the f's? I have some vague idea, but i don't understand everything

Hi Michal,

Typically the definitions are:

"f_iso" is the maximum isometric force of the contractile element (CE) [parameter value]
"f_AL" is the active CE force-length relationship function
"f_PL" is the passive CE force-length relationship function
"f_v" is the CE force-velocity relationship function
"f_SE" is the force-extension relationship of the series elastic element (SE)

Given the CE length, activation, and velocity, you could calculate the values of all of these functions and determine the muscle force.

Hope this helps,
Ross
