Has anyone used digitised landmarks on OpenSim?

Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone has previously used digitised landmarks in lieu of experimental markers. I record my mocap trials with a pointer, then use Visual 3D to create digitised hip and knee markers. I am working with obese participants so using a pointer is likely more accurate. Putting the data into OpenSim with experimental markers gives my participants a humorously large pelvis.
I would be grateful if there were any suggestions as to how to put these landmarks on an OpenSim model. Many thanks.
