Muscle Model - Origin and insertion of the muscle

Dear Team
I am working with the OpenSim to complete my journal paper.
Is there any tools or medium to determine the coordinates (X, Y, Z) of the origin and insertion of muscles related to the head of the femur or any arbitrary origin on the lower extremities
Could you please help me in this case.
You can email me via the following Email

Hi Mahdi,
If you need this for a specific muscle in a specific configuration and the points are fixed (e.g. not MovingPathPoints or ConditionalPathPoints) you can manually create Marker(s) at the corresponding points in the GUI, and use the GUI to change the Body that the Marker lives on, and the location will be re-expressed as needed. If you want this info over time you can use PointKinematics to report locations.
Alternatively, you can use the API (application programming interface) to access these values. The origin and insertion points would likely be instances of the class PathPoint which is documented here
https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_ ... Point.html
Check the methods available specially the ones inherited from OpenSim::Point and use them in a Matlab or python script to obtain the info you need.
Hope this helps,

Hi Ayman
Really thanks for the prompt reply, honestly I did not expect it.
1- There is another way to found the coordination of the muscles attachment sites (origin and insertion of muscles) which is If I can export Delp 2007 model (gait2354_simbody.osim) into the Solidworks, Ansys or Abaqus.
The main reason is, I am categorised my self as a beginner to work with OpenSim. Despite the model you developed in Opensim is absolutely detailed but the software slightly confused me.
2- I am wondering if you can do simply for one muscle (any muscle) and show me the steps of
How to determine the coordinate of the main origin on top of the femoral head (left or right it does not matter)
How to determine the coordinates of muscle's origin and insertion for with respect to the femoral head origin[/list]
This is a great help and support from you, and I can compensate it via acknowledge your contribution or put your name and affiliation as co-author in my papers (if you do not mind).
Regards
Mahdi
