Hi guys

I was wonder if I know how differ between Computed Muscle Control and forward simulation by feedback control. I recently developed the interface of Opensim and Matlab to simulate reference kinematic trajectory tracking by forward dynamic that use feedback control in each loop. from my point of view, forward simulation by feedback control is applicable for assistive devices and any prosthetic rather than CMC analysis.
In fact, can I use CMC to control musculoskeletal model and assistive device?

This depends on your question and exactly what you're trying to learn from your study.

CMC has been used previously to study assistive devices. You can find out more about CMC at https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/d ... +CMC+Works.

Forward analyses can still be useful. See Jackson, R.W., Dembia, C.L., Delp, S.L., Collins, S.H. Muscle-tendon mechanics explain unexpected effects of exoskeleton assistance on metabolic rate during walking. Journal of Experimental Biology, 220:2082-2095.
