control system integration (matlab) with a spine model in opensim

Post by Siril T D » Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:45 am

I intend to integrate the control system I am designing for the spine in Matlab with an opensim model to visualize the changes that will occur when I tweak the control system inputs. Can this be achieved with opensim?

Unrelated to the above, I also want to know if we can apply forces on a model, lets say 50N downwards on the shoulders, simulating a backpack. And when I press the simulate button, will I be able to see how the body will deflect and if there is any increase in muscle pulling force etc? I am new to this, so please bear with me.

A great way to get a feel for some of the typical use cases of OpenSim is to look into the documentation site (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/display/OpenSim), especially the OpenSim Workflows pages (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/d ... +Workflows). Searching for papers that use OpenSim to find studies that are similar to the goals of your research project are also helpful.
