Minimize the number of activated muscles or joints

Post by Zhou Yaqian » Sun Nov 29, 2020 7:24 pm

Hi,

I'm a new user of opensim, and I was recently thinking about whether the number of activated muscles can be as small as possible (rather than the sum of the total squares of muscles) to achieve the same squat standing movement with the single leg model(squatToStand_3dof9musc.osim) in Moco? Or do you use as few joints as possible to achieve the same movement? At present, I know the state file of the model through prediction.

Thanks in advance,
Ya qian Zhou
