Running Forward Dynamics tool with no controls file

Hey guys,

I'm a student learning OpenSim, here's my question:
Why do I have activation values in the results file when I run Forward dynamic tool with no controls input.

FYI, I'm running Leg6dof9musc model.

There's a property for muscles called default_activation. This is the activation that the muscle will be at the start of the simulation.
