Marker Problems in OpenSim 4.2

Post by Quinten Humphrey » Wed Mar 03, 2021 7:00 pm

I was wondering if anyone is having issues with placing new markers on a model in OpenSim 4.2. When I click on the marker, there is no global frame to help me navigate the marker to the desired position. Instead I find myself having to change my views and make judgements of the placement. When I do move a marker it only seems to move in 1-D in either forward or reverse.

Hello,

When you select the Marker, a triad is shown in the graphics window. By clicking individual axes you can move the marker in X,Y or Z direction, if you drag the icon for one of the planes XY, YZ, XZ you can move the Marker in one plane. Moving freely in 3D may not produce what you expect, so in practice users have utilized these methods above to move markers as desired.

Hope this helps,
-Ayman
