Hello:

Hope everyone is fine.
Recently we start to capture our GRF with motion analysis software, cortex, and we are having alot of trouble to convert the *.anc files to *.mot files, anyone have a script to read this files and later write it in the opensim format?, thanks for the help.

Hi Pablo,

I am just finishing up a utility program that will
convert TRB and ANB files into the OpenSim format.
It uses your existing forcepla.cal file to
calibrate and convert forces from any force plates, and divide them into left and right sides.
It will also convert EMG data. There is an option
to use its own internal model scaling and IK
algorithms, or bypass them and simply convert
the TRB marker data to a TRC file, so you can use
OpenSim's scaling and IK. It will be freely
available from the Motion Analysis web site to any
EVaRT/Cortex users with a maintenance contract.
Some features I plan to add in the near future
include automatic detection of heelstrike and
toeoff, and batch processing of all TRB/ANB files
in the data folder.

I will be posting a message as soon as the utility
is available, but if you'd like to try a beta
version earlier, please contact me and we can
arrange something.

-Peter
