Identical Moment Graphs

Post by Andrea Vivaldi » Thu Jul 01, 2021 10:59 am

Hello,

I am running the Inverse Dynamic Tool to try and get moment data for hip, ankle and knee joints. I have redone the analysis 5 times and I am still getting wrong data. Looks like all 3 joints have the exact same profile when plotted. I have read all the examples and tutorials for ID and I have followed them... The Inverse Kinematics Data looks' fine and the .mot files for force plate look fine too. Has anyone come across the same issue? Image

Hello,

Unless you can explain why you believe you're getting the "wrong data", and what input data you supplied to the tool it would be hard to troubleshoot. The very likely scenario is that forces (e.g. Ground Reaction forces) were not specified at all or were not applied correctly (e.g. wrong units or wrong point of application) resulting in massive moments and unexpected results. You may want to take a look at the messages window if running from the GUI to see what files/data are being loaded and if errors/warnings are reported.

Hope this helps,
-Ayman
