Model separating during scaling

Hello all,

I am scaling a model and am working on trying to understand what I can do to fix it. When the model is scaled, the new model created has the issue of separating in the lumbar.

Even when I reload the scaled model, I face the same issue.

You can see that it happens at the L3/L4 and L4/L5, so could it be that maybe it has to do with the translation at the joints?
