Contact Ellipsoid in Simbody but not Opensim?

Hello,

I am trying to implement ellipsoids in a hunt-crossley contact model. This is said to be possible in the Sherman 2011 paper.

Looking at the opensim doxygen there is no option for contact ellipsoid: https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_ ... metry.html


However, there is an option looking at the doxygen for simbody: https://simtk.org/api_docs/molmodel/api ... metry.html


Why are ellipsoids not available in OpenSim?
