Inverse Dynamics Results

Hello
I have a query about the results generated after running an Inverse Dynamics.
I understand that the *_Inverse_dynamics.sto files generated after running Inverse Dynamics stores the joint torques (like knee_angle_r). I also saved the states file generated when we do Inverse Dynamics, the first few columns of which have same label as the *_Inverse_dynamics.sto but the values are quite different? And then their are columns with a suffix as '_u' (like knee_angle_r_u), I wonder what are these?

Hi Rahul,

You are correct in your understanding of the *_InverseDynamics_force.sto files contain torques (or forces if the degree of freedom is translational). The states file contains the coordinate values for each degree of freedom in the model (like joint angles or distances), and their speeds. The speeds are denoted with the '_u' suffix.
