Locked Coordinates have influence on Inverse Kinematic

Post by Chiho Ng » Fri Oct 15, 2021 1:58 am

Dear all,

I have worked on a model recently, and when I ran the inverse kinematic with the motion capture data of exact body segment (like upper limb, lower limb, hand etc.), I found the locked coordintes still have influence on the calculation process. They would make it slower and more unstable than the calculation in the model that change these locked coordinate into weld joint.
Theoretically the locked coordinate should be 'silent', then why would it happen? Would that be my misunderstanding of 'coordinate lock'?
Thank you so much for your attention and response!

Sincerely,
Chiho
