Femur and Pelvis reference frame definition in Gait 2392

Post by Nynke Rooks » Tue Apr 12, 2022 1:46 pm

Hi,

We are currently working on a finite element model of the hip joint and would like to use kinematic data from the literature which is obtained using OpenSim 3.2 and the OpenSim model Gait 2392. To be able to prescribe the hip joint rotations, we need to define the pelvis and femur reference frames. For this we need to know which anatomical landmarks are used to define the X, Y and Z axes and the origins of these reference frames. Could someone please help us with this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
