Directions in Ankle Joint Reaction Force

Post by JAEHO JANG » Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:38 am

I have a quick question about the directions of ankle joint contact force acting on the talus. I'm using a generic model (Rajagopal model). Attached are just exported from OpenSim results. If you see below these are superior-inferior, anterior-posterior, and medial-lateral directions of ankle joint reaction forces (left to right). What makes me super confused is the AP and ML directions especially whether positive being anterior or posterior and medial or lateral. Does anyone have ideas on this issue?
