Isometric Knee "Bending"

I am an undergraduate research assistant (aerospace engineering major) aiding in biomedical research. We are trying to use OpenSim to study various subjects in a sitting position who extend their ankle forward against a force gauge until they fatigue for 5 minutes or so. The knee angle stays relatively at -90 degrees since it doesn't really change all that much. Is it possible to use OpenSim in this study if their is no real motion, or should I simulate isometric knee bending from -90 to - 89.5 degrees? We use iWorx to gather our data for accelerations, EMGs, and forces.
