IMUPlacer and IMU IK from Xsens data

Post by Carlo Carraro » Fri Nov 10, 2023 8:32 am

Hi everyone,
I'm using the Xsens to collect data and then I want to import these data in Opensim. From Xsens I obtain directly the quaternions so from that file I can crate my orientations.sto file. Then, I apply the IMU placer tool and it works. After this I apply the IMU Ik tool but the results are really poor (I attached the result). So at this point I was wondering if the problem is a wrong sensors heading adjustment or is related to the orientation file that I have created, because from Xsens I have two files "segment orientation quaternions" and "sensors orientation quaternions". I don't know which file is the correct one to use. I would like to know if someone went through the same issue and can help me to improve my results.
Thank you so much!
