I have downloaded 4 versions of OpenSim and I cannot get the fingers to load on the the wrist model.

OpenSim attempts to load .vtp files in a few locations as described on the documentation page for OpenSim Models.

In particular, these locations are as follows:

To have the geometry displayed in the GUI you need to have the Geometry files in one of these locations:
1. Same directory as the model
2. "Geometry" directory underneath it
3. In a directory included in the "Geometry Path" available using Edit >Preferences > Paths: Geometry Search Path

You can check the messages window to see if any of these files aren't loading properly, and then checking if the .vtp files are in the correct location.

Yes, it does say that those files are not loading whenever I try to load the wrist.
