hi
I want to analyze muscle activity and joint moments from sitting to standing and gait seperately.
There is only one force plate in our lab.
During the sit to stand experiment, only the right foot was placed on the force plate and only the right foot stepped on the force plate during gait experiment.
With this data, marker trajectory, GRF data and EMG data have been acquired.
1. I know that RRA and CMC are impossible because there is no GRF in the left foot. Can I know the muscle activity of each lower limb muscle through static optimization?
2. There is no GRF for the left foot, but is it possible to analyze inverse dynamics and static optimization for right leg?
I need help
thank you

Hi, this condition is similar to gait trials in which the data of only one force plate is available. I believe you can safely use inverse dynamics and static optimization tools to study the (right) lower limb joint biomechanics. Here are two videos with similar settings:

Hope this helps.
