Simulation in Elderly - CMC & Metabolics

Hello,
I am running simulations for elderly subjects (70+) using the gait2392 model. Should I make any changes to the model to get better CMC and metabolics results?
I am expecting a higher cost of walking for elderly, but I didn't seem to find any changes while using the same model.
It is suggested somewhere to modify the muscle properties according to Thelen et al. (j biomech eng. 2003; 125(1):70-7) - I tried to but CMC muscle activations seemed to get worse compared to EMG data.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
