Placing Model Markers

Hello,

I am wondering if there is an art to placing markers on a model. I have been working with OpenSim for a few years now and have created new marker sets prior but have typically used scale factors produced from the V3D pipeline. I have watched the webinars multiple times over and in them they recommend placing model markers as accurately as possible. To place model markers are you just 'eyeballing' it? I have been especially struggling to accurately place markers around the pelvis.

Thanks in advance!

Some general ideas can be found on the following pages of the documentation:
- Collecting Experimental Data -> Collecting Marker Data (https://opensimconfluence.atlassian.net ... ental+Data)
- Getting Started with Scaling -> Best Practices and Troubleshooting (https://opensimconfluence.atlassian.net ... th+Scaling)
From the latter: "It is common to iterate through Scale and Inverse Kinematics to fine-tune segment dimensions and marker positions that yield low marker errors for the task of interest."

However, you may want to use AddBiomechanics instead: https://addbiomechanics.org/
