tibia geometry not vertically aligned CT-scan based extended dynamic foot model

Post by Maxine Olson » Mon Jun 10, 2024 2:26 pm

Hi. I am using The CT-scan based extended dynamic foot model available on SimTK and the tibias seem to be located to far vertically from the talus. This model is based on the 2392 model but uses r_tibia.vtp and r_femur.vtp instead of tibia_r.vtp and femur_r.vtp geometries. I've attached the image. There seems to be too much space at the distal end of the tibia and the proximal end of the tibia is overlapping with the femur. Has anyone else run into this issue? The fibula seems to be appropriately spaced between the femur and the talus.
The knee joint location in the parent body (femur) is at 0 0 0. There doesn't seem to be anything in the .osm file which would be altering the vertical placement of the tibia.

Thank you for your thoughts.
