scale question:Strange scaling results

Post by XinYu Liu » Mon Oct 28, 2024 12:03 am

Hello everyone!

I'm new to using opensim.I recently used vicon to collect wrist data and opensim to calculate joint angles. But the scaling results are strange, with large errors from the collected static data. The marker "bih1" does not change when the data is rotated. And the angle of wrist rotation is out of range. It looks like the back of the model's hand has switched places with the center of the hand.

I would like to know what part of the process is wrong and how to fix it.I'm using openism 4.4 and the wrist model is the one that comes with the software.I will provide my static and flexion data, marker points and scale settings.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards

Xinyu

The webinar "Tips and Tricks for Data Collection, Scaling and Inverse Kinematics in OpenSim" could be helpful to review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG7wzvQC6eU

There is also written documentation for the tool provided on the documentation wiki: https://opensimconfluence.atlassian.net ... 00/Scaling
