Opensense calibration for neuromuscular conditions

Hi,
I would like some guidance please for OpenSense platform with Xsens IMUs. I am researching biomechanics in neuromuscular conditions, and a problem I encountered while using Xsense IMUs was calibration for the participants as they can't stand independently and walk for calibration and thought that since OpenSense only needs the raw data from the sensors, I could get around this problem!
I would like to know please if it is possible to adjust the calibration process so that I calibrate while the participants are in a lying position (lying on a bed as this is easier for them) but after still be able to record and calculate joint angles for assisted standing position. Could this happen by possibly adjusting the coordinates?? and is it possible to have the calibration reflect the contractures that these participants may be having? I would be very grateful for your help regarding this dilemma!
Thank you!
