Graphical bug

Post by Maha Abbassi » Mon Jun 28, 2010 3:23 am

Hi everyone

I wanted to know if anyone else is having a graphical big with OpenSim?
After scaling, the joints are doubled for Arm26.osim.
With the Stanford upper extremity model, they are too big.
Please take a look here: http://www.demoandmemo.net/wikiStage/Bu ... index.html
(I'm using windows 7)

Is there any additional thing to do so that they look normal?

Thank you very much

Hi Maha,

Can you please explain what you mean by the joints are "doubled"? It is expected when you scale a model that another copy (the scaled version) of the model is added to the GUI, does that explain?

I couldn't see the movie on the page you posted but the models look fine.

Hi Ayman

Thank you for your response.

Concerning arm26.osim, I meant that on the scaled copy of the model (which you saw on the page I posted), I see two copies of every joint (the sky-blue ones) one copy is on it's place (on the shoulder or the elbow, and another is in the middle of the model. They are not doubled in the navigator window for the scaled model. That's why I'm wondering what they're representing.
Well, I don't know if it's supposed to be shown on the GUI that way?

And I thought there was a problem for the other model (Stanford VA Upper Extremity Model) because they are too big compared to the scrren shots given on the page of the model, that's why I thought there's a bug.

Thanks again!

Maha,

Looking again at the graphics I see duplicate display of the wrap-objects (Joints do not have a graphical representation as of now). I reported a bug
https://simtk.org/tracker/index.php?fun ... 1&atid=322

and we should have it fixed in the next release.
Note however, that this is only a display issue as the duplicate wrap geometry do not interact with the muscles.

Thanks for the find,
-Ayman
