model mechanics

Post by Maha Abbassi » Mon Aug 16, 2010 1:12 am

Hi all,

Quick question about the model Arm26,

Does OpenSim take into account the gravity, in a way that would permit the arm to "fall" during an extension? (by "fall" I mean, that extensions are nearly effortless compared to flexions, therefore, triceps activations should be really low)

thank you!

Maha.

Hi Maha,

Sure, if you turn off the muscles you should see the arm falling straight.

Best,
