Hi folks,
we just updated to OpenSim 2.2.0 and immediately were confronted with a strange error message. When I try to open a model that has been created by one of my students, OpenSim says: "This Model Component has no state variables". Nothing else is happening, the model is not loaded. Under 2.0.2. everything worked fine.
Any ideas? The 2.2.0 example models and the one from version 2.0.2 both work.
best regards,
Daniel

RE: Error opening model in 2.2.0 - state variable
Hi Daniel,
Do you see other problems downstream, or is it just the error message? Please file a bug report and attach your model file, how it was created and we'll look into it.
There's no requirement that a ModelComponent have state variables, however it could be that there are some inconsistencies in the error checking code that we can fix to avoid giving confusing error messages.

Hi Ayman,
it is not just the error message. The model won't load at all! I already posted a bug report.
Best regards,
Daniel
