Dear all,
I am always having this message whenever I try to open OPENSIM2.2.0..
"java.nio.charset.UnsupportedCharsetException 例外が発生しました。
「詳細を表示」をクリックするか、C:\Users\Fady\AppData\Roaming\.opensim\2.2.0\var\log フォルダにある messages.log ファイルを参照してください。"
which means an exception has occurred. Could you please help me.
notice that I am installing opensim2.2.0 in win32 vista.
Also, could you advice if I would like to install it in win64 (7)?

RE: error message
Hey Fady,
there could be many reasons for this message...
...maybe you have a problem with your Java Version.
Be sure that OpenSim only run with a 32-bit version of Java. So you have to install a lower version under Vista/ Win 7. It doesn't create problems with other systems if you run a 32-bit version.
For detailled instructions for win 7, follow the documentation on the link below:

Hope this helps.
Let me know if this was the answers of your question.

RE: error message
Hi Fady & Matthias,
OpenSim comes packaged with its own Java JRE (some fixed publicly available version that we build/test with). Prior to version 2.2 we were using an older JRE that didn't run on Windows7. With version 2.2 we upgraded to a newer JRE that should work on all Windows 7 machines. I believe the problem you're having, Fady, is related to the locale (language). These problems can be avoided by running OpenSim in English locale. The post below explains how to do that.

Please let me know how that goes,
