When I start the opensim2.4.0 by doubleclick the bin/opensim.exe
get the error cannot find java.exe in jdk\... and cannot start opensim.
But if I doubleclick the start_opensim.bat, opensim can start successfully.
My computer's operate system is windows 7 ultimate.
Can anyone please help me?

Re: error with starting opensim2.4.0
Hi Jianwei,
This actually is expected as the application has to be started from a specific directory so as to find the Java runtime it needs and also to set the correct path to load the dynamic libraries it depends on. You can create a short cut (if that was not done by the installer already) and place it on the desktop and always use it to launch the application.
Hope this helps,

Hi Ayman,
Thanks for your reply.
It can not work if I create a short cut on the desktop, but works when I make a short cut in the opensim Installation dir( the same dir with start_opensim.bat)
