Visualize external torques

Post by Ana Diaz » Fri Aug 10, 2012 8:41 am

Hi!

I am trying to apply external forces to a model (ground data + a external torque on the knee), and I was wondering how to visualize the torques.

Using the "preview motion data" I am able to visualize the "forces" but not the "torques". Actually, the program fails when I "right click" on the torques to make them visible.

Is there a way to do that? Unfortunately, I haven't seen any videos with visualizations of the external torques...

Thanks!

Ana

Hi Ana,

There's no way as of now to visualize the torques in the GUI. Please file a feature request so that we can look into it when planning the next release.

Best regards,

Hi Ana,

there is a visualization tool (available at https://simtk.org/home/visutoolopensim) that allows to visualize moments obtained by the inverse dynamic analysis .

You can probably visualize your knee torque by creating a "fake" file of inverse dynamics results.

Best regards,

Luca
