Joint reaction calculation

Post by gareth roberts » Fri Nov 30, 2012 8:52 am

Hi,
I'm trying to calculate joint reaction forces. I follow the excellent webinar fromwebsite, but keep getting the following message:
Exception:
Storage: ERROR- failed to open file StaticOptimization_force.sto
file= ..\..\..\OpenSim30Br\OpenSim30\OpenSim\Common\Storage.cpp
line= 127

When trying to place the forces file (result from static optimization)
I've tried placing the StaticOptimization_force.sto file in my working directory and have tried putting the files full address but no luck.
Any advice?

Thanks

Gareth

Hi Gareth,

This seems like a path problem where the analysis can not locate the file containing the forces. Can you run the data files from the webinar? If yes, can you layout your files similarly and run the tools? It's a bit hard to conjecture your directory layout but if you file a bug report and attach all the files to reproduce the error we can suggest a solution.

Best regards,

To all,

I had the same problem. I fix my problem by simply adding .sto to subject01_StaticOptimization_force when referring the directory.

Best to all.

Hi,all

Best regards
