CMC changes kinematics

Post by Brandon Brown » Tue Apr 16, 2013 11:03 am

Hello all,

I am using 3-D motion data to model a task. The scaled model was run through CMC. The results show altered kinematics. Is this expected behavior? I thought positions were locked and muscle forces are computed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Yes, that is expected; CMC didn't find muscle forces that would exactly produce your experimental kinematics. However, you should modify tracking tasks and/or control constraints, and re-run CMC to get better tracking of the experimental kinematics.
