Model offset during scaling

Post by Erik Dijkstra » Mon Jun 03, 2013 11:58 pm

Hi all,

I encounter a problem which I think is GUI related.

When I am working on scaling a model, the new model appears in the view with a slight offset. Looking at the model and navigating in the view after a few scaling iterations becomes impossible as the model is no longer visible in the view.

Setting the model offset to zero does affect its position but somehow the view GUI does not recognize the fact that the models to be shown are close to each other. Thus still a very zoomed out (empty) view.

From frontal plane I can zoom in on the model but as soon as I try to rotate the model disappears again.

Has anyone found a good solution/routine to get around this problem?

Best regards,
Erik

PS: Is there a plan at OpenSim to improve the modelview navigation? I think it would be nice to have a button that puts the focus on the current model such that one can easily rotate and navigate around this model.
