Forward Dynamics

Post by Brandon Brown » Mon Aug 12, 2013 4:09 pm

Hello all,

I have squat data and I have scaled a running model, performed inverse kinematics, inverse dynamics, a residual reduction analysis and computed muscle control. When I run the computed muscle control, the kinematics are produced fairly accurately. When I take the resulting controls and use them with forward dynamics, the leg on the left side of the model goes crazy. I tried cutting a significant portion of the controls off (reducing the time window) as was suggested in the opensim tutorial on forward dynamics, and when I do this the hip starts spinning out of control. Can anyone give me a hint on what I should do? Is it simply a matter of writing a controls constraint file?

Thanks,

Brandon Brown
